The Olympia Sports Top is a close-fitting top designed for swimming, gymnastics, dance, athletics and more!

There are two crop styles plus a full length option. Choose between straight straps or a racer back, and a straight or V front.

The Olympia is designed for swim Lycra. Alternatively, you can use cotton/Lycra jersey or athletic jersey provided the fabric has a minimum of 70% horizontal and 50% vertical stretch.

This pattern is best suited to those with some sewing experience. The construction is not complex, but it is a little fiddly and requires accurate topstitching.

There are two Olympia patterns available –  this one uses the female/curve fit teen measurement chart and goes from teen 10 – teen 20. There is a matching child pattern that goes from age 2 – age 12.

The Teen Measurement charts go from Teen 10 to Teen 20. The numbers are just names and do not indicate ages. Always use measurements when picking a size to make! A Teen 10 approximately matches a Child 10 and a Teen 20 approximately matches an Adult Medium so the Teen measurements bridge the gap between child and adult.

An overlocker/serger can be used for many steps but importantly a regular sewing machine is all you need for all options.

Print the print-at-home pattern on A4/legal/letter sized paper.

Take the copy shop file to a professional printer to print onto large sheets of paper.

Use the projector file to project the pattern straight onto your fabric meaning you don’t have to print at all!
