A dress with bigggg pockets, for me with 3 dogs thats awesome, it is super comfy to wear as well, and seeing as you can make the colorblock version, or the plain one, with or without pockets, sleeves or no sleeves, you can make a year full of dresses, tops and tunics without ever getting bored. It is a fast make as well, so instant sewing satisfaction!

Lovely pattern made in hearts and black solid sleeves, daughter did not want to take jt off when I did a fitting to check hem length. Not even finished. Comfy. More ordered. I will also be making for me. Daughter demanded to go back to the beach so pockets would be filled with shells!

I love the Beachcomber dress I made for myself. I did the colour-blocked version with the fabulous big pockets and with long sleeves, and it turned out wonderfully. The instructions were easy to follow and its great that there are so many options.. I will definitely be making a whole lot more and when beginner sewists ask me for recommendations I recommend the Beachcomber as the plain option is such a straightforward sew, and is comfortable and flattering to wear.

I have made the tunic for me 3 times, with different combinations of colour blocking and I love it! II like using scraps for the colour blocking and LOVE the big pockets! I have quite a big tummy and use a 3-4XL and I love how well it suits me. I also love that I can alter the size since I am a size or two bigger on my hips than my upper body. And I most definitely love matching my daughter!

What a great pattern! I made one for myself, just a plain version with a ribbing neckband, no sleeves. I’m fairly new to making clothes, especially for myself, but the instructions are so clear it was a really quick make – and to be fair, I had already made a couple of the child version for my daughter. It’s an easy fit, too, which is good when you’re new to making clothes, and has a lovely shape when worn. I already have plans to make more!
