Description
The Charlie Bear & Friends Hood pattern is both fun and functional, providing you with an alternative to boring hats when it comes to keeping warm in cold weather! There is the choice of either a hood on its own or a hood with attached scarf and mittens/pockets.
The pattern and instructions come with 6 animals to choose from (wolf, bear, unicorn, dinosaur, reindeer and fox), but with a little imagination and careful fabric selection you can make many more.
The Charlie Bear & Friends Hood goes from Age 1-2 right up to Large/XL Adult so you can sew for everyone!
The difficulty varies from beginner to intermediate depending on the options chosen. The pattern is designed for thick, woven fabrics with faux fur being the most striking.
An overlocker/serger can be used for many steps but importantly a sewing machine is all you need for all options.
This listing is for 4 downloadable PDF files: Instructions, a print-at-home pattern, a copy shop pattern and a projector pattern.
Print the print-at-home pattern on A4/legal/letter sized paper.
Take the copy shop file to a professional printer to print onto large sheets of paper.
Use the projector file to project the pattern straight onto your fabric meaning you don’t have to print at all!

My absolute favorite make. I moved last year from the Middle East where I was used to temperatures +40 to Canada where our winter was -40, I made the AJ aviators for cooler days but these for super cold days. I made the bear out of fake fur and lined them with the kids old dressing gowns they had grown out of to upcycle and they were great., it was a nice easy to follow pattern and a joy to see the kids wearing them to school..
