Description
The Child Sundowner Sweatshirt is a relaxed fit, hemmed raglan sweatshirt with curved seams and a hi-lo hem.
This pattern goes from Prem./Small Newborn all the way up to Age 12.
Add pockets or piping. You can also try a drawstring hood and/or hemline on the older ages.
An overlocker/serger will create the neatest finish but importantly, a sewing machine is all you need for all options.
Fabrics such as lightweight sweatshirting or French terry are perfect for the Child Sundowner Sweatshirt. However, you can use any light/medium weight stretch fabric.

Melissa Draper –
I loved this pattern! I made one for myself all in one fabric first, then I made a matching set for my big kiddo and my small grandkiddo. It was super simple to make the sweatshirt look like a frog by having the front piece white, the back and sleeves be green, the outer hood be green and the inner hood be red (for the frog’s mouth). They are super comfy for spring and fall in a lighter weight t-shirt knit. Instructions for sewing knit with a regular sewing maching (not a serger) were super helpful for me, as well. I highly recommend this pattern.
