Description

The Shoreline Shorts pattern is a simple but simply perfect kid shorts pattern. There are two lengths to choose from,  optional pockets and an elasticated waist. The pattern is designed for medium weight knit fabrics such as French terry or sweatshirt fleece.

The Shoreline Shorts pattern goes from Prem./Small Newborn – Age 12. It is suitable for enthusiastic beginners.

An overlocker/serger can be used for many steps but importantly a regular sewing machine is all you need for all options.

This listing is for 4 downloadable PDF files: Instructions, a print-at-home pattern, a copy shop pattern and a projector pattern.

Print the print-at-home pattern on A4/legal/letter sized paper.

Take the copy shop file to a professional printer to print onto large sheets of paper.

Use the projector file to project the pattern straight onto your fabric meaning you don’t have to print at all!

For more photos, inspiration and assistance you are very welcome to join the Waves & Wild Facebook Group.

Find the measurements charts for all Waves and Wild patterns here.

The pattern is created in layers which allows you to simply print the layers (sizes) you need.

I’m a beginner at sewing and these were my first ever attempt at ‘proper’ shorts. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow, I actually managed to produce a pair of wearable shorts on my first attempt! My son is tall and slim and it was easy to use a size longer length than waist, it’s great to be able to make him shorts that fit!
