It was a challenge for me to do this hat but the results were great. Steps easy to follow as always

I made a whole pile of these when the pattern was first released. Such an easy pattern to follow and perfect teamed with the PB Swim Shorties and Beach Rashie patterns…
I highly recommend.

I love this hat! I’ve made several. However, I find my kids don’t like the neck flap so I have omitted that and just made them into “baseball” caps. I wish they’d wear the ones with the neck flap, but I digress. Anyway, if you make the pattern pieces about a half inch longer, I find the hats for better on the head. Also, on the inside where you have the headband part to finish off the hat, I fold it over and sew it down with an additional seam to the hat. Then, I string 1″ elastic through that and the hats stay on amazingly.
