Heyday Dungarees – Female/Curve Fit

XXS-7XL

Description

The Female/Curve Fit Heyday Dungarees pattern combines comfort with a funky sense of style.

This is a relaxed fit dungaree/overall. It has tie straps which don’t need undoing in order to take the garment on and off! Choose between button holes or loops. In addition, there are FIVE pockets for hiding all your stuff. They are designed to be long and worn rolled at the ankle.

An overlocker/serger will create the neatest finish, but importantly, a regular sewing machine is all you need for all options.

This pattern includes twelve sizes, from XXS up to 7XL. There is a matching child pattern available.

The Ladies’ Heyday Dungarees pattern is designed for medium weight, soft, woven fabrics such as corduroy, denim, linen and twill.

This is an intermediate level pattern. The actual construction of the dungarees is very simple, but you need to be comfortable sewing through multiple layers of thick fabric.

This listing is for 4 downloadable PDF files: Instructions, a print-at-home pattern, a copy shop pattern and a projector pattern.

Print the print-at-home pattern on A4/legal/letter sized paper.

Take the copy shop file to a professional printer to print onto large sheets of paper.

Use the projector file to project the pattern straight onto your fabric.

The pattern is created in layers meaning you can print just the layers (sizes) you need.

  1. Janet Humphrey

One of the most fabulous patterns I have made.

Have multiple pairs of these and everyone is wearable, adaptable and look awesome on.

I get so many compliments and I look forward to making many more.

Surprised myself at how quickly these sewed up. Gifted to my nephew’s partner expecting their second baby. She loves how comfortable they are and lots of room for bump! (She is very petit and I sized up)

  3. Leanne

Such a lovely pattern! I’ve gifted a pair of linen HeyDay Dungas to two friends and they have absolutely loved them. Enjoyed sewing a little lining in each pocket to match the inner lining and make them special and unique. Will deffo make myself one or two linen before Spring rolls round again. But now looking forward to a warmer pair for the winter. Thanks!

  4. Fiona Evans

Fantastic pattern!! I loved sewing these up! They are a surprisingly quick sew – largely due to the fantastic instructions. I cannot recommend waves and wild patterns enough for adding confidence to your sewing! I’ve had endless compliments on my heydays!

I can quite honestly say that these are the most comfortable things to wear & very easy to put together. I made them in a soft black linen as I was playing it safe as I wasn’t sure about dungarees for myself but bought them when they were on offer & thought I’d give them a go. I love the result & they came together really easily with no issues of fitting.
    Thanks for a great pattern

  6. Melissa Draper

These dungarees (overalls here in the US) are just fantastic! I made a lightweigh pair as shorts for summer and a denim pair full length for anytime and anywhere. It’s easy to fit the pattern to a body that shifts between sizes. The instructions are great and simple to follow. I intend to make more of these for myself and possibly family, too!

  7. Jan B

Could write lots of excellent things about these dungarees but all I’m gonna say is ‘just make them’’ you won’t be disappointed the pattern is well drafted and a pleasure to make and wear.

  8. Linda Harrison (verified owner)

The most comfortable dungarees you’ll ever wear, and the easiest to make.

  9. Morgan Roddy (verified owner)

I just finished my first pair of these and they fit great and are so comfy. I love that I could print just the size I needed too! Well written and easy to follow. I am about to start another pair!

  10. Raymonde

J’adore ce patron, en lin, en denim, la taille est fidèle aux mesures.

  11. Raymonde

I love this pattern, made with denim, an another one with linen. So confortable, so simple to sew.

  12. Emma Scorah (verified owner)

These dungarees are so comfortable and quite flattering. They were very easy to fit, I love the adjustable straps. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow. I have already made a few versions, and definitely plan on making more.

Love my heyday dungarees! Made a few pairs (and need to make more!) And the fit is just spot on, so much better than store bought pairs and I can make them in whatever colour I fancy. Super clear instructions and overall fab pattern.

One of the best dungaree patterns out there. This fit is excellent and the silhouette is the perfect combination of giant toddler.
I’ve made 2 pairs and as soon as autumn hits I have plans to make a few more.

  15. Nikki Shaw (verified owner)

This is the first pattern I ever bought, and the first garment I ever made. It’s very adaptable and I’ve made lots of different versions since.
It has very clear instructions and the end result is comfortable and looks like I’ve bought them from an indie boutique, rather than upcycled a ripped duvet or curtain.

  16. Kaz M (verified owner)

I’ve made four pairs of these, and at 5ft2, have shortened the leg length quite a bit, as well as chopped a few centimetres from the shoulder straps as they were too long . I used linen, a linen-blend fabric, and a light-weight corduroy, but the pair made using a knit covered with lots of sequins for a Taylor Swift Concert were especially amazing. I love the fit (size small which is my standard size), and how well the pattern lends itself to different fabrics.
