It is suitable for enthusiastic beginners. An overlocker/serger will create the neatest finish, but importantly, a regular sewing is all you need for all options.

Print the print-at-home pattern on A4/legal/letter sized paper.

Take the copy shop file to a professional printer to print onto large sheets of paper.

The pattern is created in layers meaning you can print just the layers (sizes) you need.

Love this pattern – made all the juniors in the family Christmas trousers and really enjoyed how easy the pockets are for a novice sewer. Very clear instructions- will be making some for me later in the year!

I’m not an advanced sewer but was able to knock up a pair of simple shorts during nap time as summer has suddenly arrived in the UK!! There are loads of options and I’ve already got two more pairs cut out ready to sew. The option for a different pattern at the pockets is a nice touch and a great way of using up scraps. Am so pleased to have found some lovely boys patterns for my 22 month old, am already hooked and can see I’ll be using waves and wild patterns a lot over the coming years!

Fab pattern! Only made the long trouser version at the moment for the toddler for Halloween, but she loves them. Fab instructions and easy to follow.

I love how many options there are with this pattern. We use it for everything from summer pyjama bottoms and shorts to winter joggers, it works well with a variety of thicknesses of stretch material and I like that when the children have a upwards only growth spurt I can cut full length to the capri length and pop a new band on the bottom.
For my tall slim child the pattern is easily adapted to accommodate a smaller waist size whilst allowing for the length and the waves and wild Facebook group is a great resource to help you with that..

I received this pattern as part of the 6K bundle a few years back.
I love that there are so many options. It was one of the first patterns my son sewed with me when he was 3.

The instructions are so clear and it was really well drafted. He loved making them and did an amazing job. This pattern has helped spark my sons love for sewing.

Fast becoming my favourite pattern to sew, recently made lots of shorts for my 3 kids as well as friends. It’s great that I can use the same pattern later in the year for full length trousers. As always the instructions are great

This has been really useful pattern when the sun came out in Cumbria. I was able to quickly make a few pairs of shorts aling with matching lunar tshirts. I didn’t quite get waist size right, but added a bit of elastic to keep them up – the difficulties of measuring a busy toddler! Will definitely be making some longer ones when weather changes as they are easy to get on and off with potty training starting!

Use this pattern all the time. Full length when it’s colder and shorts in summer. Sometimes add pockets too.
    A really versatile jogger pattern.
