This was a first attempt at bag making for me and a first time using closed zips, the Waves and Wild pattern made me feel like a pro! The instructions are super clear and the diagrams for every step helped me enormously. I love how there are simpler and more challenging options, so perfect for an adventurous beginner or a more confident sewer. I was thrilled to be able to use an array of fat quarters for my bags, meaning my girls could choose lots of their favourite fabrics to make bags which are totally unique.

Loved using this pattern to make a toddler backpack for my Grandson. I use a projector for my patterns and this one was great to work with. Good, well written and well illustrated instructions as well as a brilliant design.

I used a unicorn pattern cotton to make the bag, I was affraid it would be too thin but worked a treat with some interfacing. I used the straight straps but wished I had used the curved ones as the straps slip off her shoulders a little but I added a clip across her chest and now she has no problems wearing it. My son has now requested a Spider-Man one so I will try with recycling some jeans and make it from denim next

This was my first time attempting to sew a backpack. I made it for my sons first day of preschool. I was initially apprehensive about giving it a go because it seemed so complicated.

I didn’t need to be worried, the pattern is drafted so well and the instructions were amazing. They held my hand through the whole process and I thoroughly enjoyed making this. I’ve since made two more, one for my daughter and one for my nephew.
